Submissions are open Sept 1 to Dec 31!

Genre: We are looking specifically for memoir—that is, “an intimate look at a moment in time” (Jessica Dukes, Celadon Books). Although you may have a larger thread connecting multiple tiny memoirs that you submit over time, each submission must stand alone as a self-sufficient story.

Length: 50-200 words total. The title is not included in the word count, and can be up to 10 words long.

Bio: Please include a bio of up to 100 words, written in the third person. (Yes, this sometimes means your bio will be longer than your tiny memoir!) You may include links to websites or social media within the bio as long as it does not exceed the 100-word limit.

Multiple Submissions: Please only submit 1 tiny memoir for consideration at a time. Once you receive a response, you are welcome to submit again right away.

Response Time: We expect to respond to all submissions within 30 days.

Simultaneous Submissions: No problem - just let us know by checking the simultaneous submission box on the Submission Form at submission, and write to judeweinjones (at) gmail.com as soon as the piece is accepted elsewhere.

Submission Fees: None

Submission Method: Submissions will be accepted through the Submission Form only.

Compensation: We are very sorry but we are unable to compensate authors for publication in the journal at this time. The editorial board is also staffed with volunteers.

Rights: We request first publication rights, after which the rights immediately return back to you. When republishing your piece elsewhere, please indicate that it was first published in Tiny Memoir, preferably with a link back to the original publication post.
